Description
The title Ra‘i Al-Faz‘ah (راعي الفزعة) literally means “the one who leads the faz‘ah” — the person known for stepping forward in moments of need, offering help without delay, and standing as a dependable sanad (سَنَد) during hardship. The name reflects a deeply rooted Gulf value: showing up first, supporting others, and carrying responsibility with quiet strength.
In the artwork, the rider in traditional attire sits firmly on his horse, embodying readiness and presence rather than display. The defining element is the raised miqma‘ (مِقْمَع). Here, the miqma‘ is not framed as a weapon of aggression, but as a symbol of protection and immediate response — a visual declaration that help has arrived. Lifted upward, it becomes an emblem of loyalty and strength used with purpose: to defend, to assist, and to answer the call when it matters most.
The contemporary, expressive lines and soft tonal background create a deliberate contrast: calm atmosphere paired with inner intensity. Through this balance, the piece becomes a tribute to the meaning of its name — Ra‘i Al-Faz‘ah — the figure who does not hesitate, and whose presence alone signals support, courage, and relief.
This artwork is sold unframed. However, framing is available upon request for an additional fee.
