Endurance of the Steeds

Description
This painting embodies the essence of patience, strength, and the noble endurance of Arabian horses. It draws inspiration from the powerful Arabic verse:
“وللخيل أيّامٌ، فمن يصطبر لها
ويعرفْ بها الخيرَ يعقبْهُ مُنْعِمُ”
(“For horses have their days, and he who endures them,
Shall find fortune and blessings in their wake.”)
This verse, attributed to Ṭufayl ibn Mālik al-Ghanawī, reflects the philosophy of resilience—highlighting that just as horses go through challenging days in battle, life itself brings hardships that test one’s endurance. Those who remain steadfast, just like a true horseman guiding his steed, will eventually find prosperity and ease.
The Structure of the Painting:
• The Three Horses: Each horse represents a different stage of endurance—strength, wisdom, and legacy. Their unity signifies resilience in the face of trials.
• The Expressive Sky: The swirling clouds in the background symbolize the uncertainty and turbulence of life’s journey, echoing the trials faced by warriors and their steeds.
• Golden Strokes and Sand: The abstract golden strokes on the lower part of the painting represent shifting sands—signifying that hardship is temporary, and stability follows patience.
This piece serves as a visual metaphor for resilience and perseverance, much like the Arabian steed that gallops through time, carrying with it the wisdom of the past and the strength to endure the future.
