Description
The artwork is a contemporary portrayal of the Quranic verse “Ayat al-Kursi” using a soothing coral background. The calm earthy tones symbolize the Gulf’s serene seafloor
The verse “Ayat al-Kursi” edges are adorned with dark, thick lines weaving into the intricacies of the Kufic script, adding modernity to the traditional aspect of it. This script, which originated in the 7th century in Kufa, Iraq, is one of the oldest Arabic calligraphic styles
The fusion of old and new in this artwork is meant to offer a fresh perspective on our history and traditions. I hope this helps make my artwork more meaningful to you
